On Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at approximately 5:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to an apartment in the 3800 block of Cherokee Avenue to check on Maureen Skeffington. Maureen had not been seen since Sunday. Officers found Maureen deceased inside her apartment. On Sunday, May 20, 2012, at about 0005 hours, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 4200 block of Poplar Street. They arrived to find 17-year-old Johnny Pugh suffering from a gunshot wound. Johnny died from his injury.

On Friday, May 18, 2012, at about 9:30 p.m., residents of an apartment complex in the 4000 block of 49th Street heard screaming outside. They went outside and found Jaime Bravo Jr. down in a driveway suffering from apparent stab wounds. The citizens picked up Jaime and carried him into their apartment, then called 9-1-1. Paramedics arrived and attempted lifesaving measures, but the victim died inside the apartment at 9:50 p.m.

Clyde Thompson, Jr. Murder |

On May 11, 2012 (Friday) at 10:51 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call in front of the Black Sabbath motorcycle clubhouse on 4200 Market Street in the San Diego community of Mount Hope. When officers arrived, they found the victim, fifty one year-old Clyde Thompson, lying on the sidewalk, suffering from gunshot wounds. Clyde died as a result of the wounds.
The investigation has revealed the victim was on the sidewalk walking to his vehicle when he was shot. Witnesses reported seeing the suspects in a black, full size SUV, similar to an early model Chevrolet Suburban. The vehicle was last seen headed eastbound on Market Street. The shooter was described as a black male in his late teens to early twenties.

Ruben Cepeda: Wanted for Murder |

On Saturday, April 7, 2012, a pregnant woman and her unborn child were murdered. Viridiana Rodriguez Nunez was shot in her apartment on Fig St. near Mission Ave.
Ruben Anthony Cepeda has been named as the suspect in the case. He is described as a hispanic male, 21 years old, he is 5'8" and about 150 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

Wydell Littleton Murder |

On April 3, 2012 (Tuesday) at about 11:07 a.m. officers responded to a shooting call in the 4100 block of F Street, in the Mount Hope neighborhood of the city of San Diego.
The investigation has revealed that the victim, 52 year old Wydell Littleton, was walking on 4100 F Street when he approached a stolen white Ford Expedition SUV that was stopped along the south curb. The victim was shot as he stopped and spoke with the driver at the driver’s door of the SUV. The victim fell to the ground and the SUV sped away eastbound on F Street. The SUV then turned and continued southbound 42 nd Street, eastbound Market Street and then southbound Interstate 805.
Shortly after the report of the shooting, citizens reported a crash of the possible suspect vehicle at the Palm Avenue/47 Street exit to Interstate 805. The vehicle travelled off road through the pickle weed, crashing over the Palm Avenue center divide, flattening all four tires; disabling the vehicle. The suspect abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.
The suspect is described as a black male, 22 to 26 years in age, clean shaven, having a very thin build and wearing a black shirt and black pants. He was further described as having braided hair and a wide, flat nose. He was last seen running in the 4700 block of Solola Avenue. |

Shabaka Lazimba Murder |

On January 24, 2012 (Tuesday) at 1702 hours, two black males walked up to Shabaka Lazimba who was walking along the 500 block of Meadowbrook Drive. One of the males was armed with a handgun. The suspect shot LAZIMBA, killing him.
After the shooting, the two males fled on foot to a tan or brown sedan, possibly an older Honda Accord or Civic, that was parked a few hundred feet away, occupied by the driver. The suspects got in the car and fled northbound on Meadowbrook Drive.
The suspects are described as follows:
Suspect 1: Black male, 18-22 years old, about 5’10” tall, medium build, wearing a white sweatshirt and dark pants. He has acne or a rash on his face. He was armed with a handgun.
Suspect 2: Black male, 18-22 years old, about 5’10” tall, medium build, wearing a dark, possibly a black shirt and black pants.

Ayo Wharton Murder |

On Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at approximately 8:00 a.m., officers responded to a report of a male found in Tecolote Canyon on the walking path. The male, later identified as Ayo Wharton, suffered a gunshot wound and died from his injury.
Wharton lived in a nearby neighborhood and was possibly seen walking into the canyon area with an unknown person just after sunset the day before his body was discovered. Wharton was known to frequent the Tecolote Canyon area with acquaintances.

On Friday, August 19, 2011 the body of Javier Hernandez Rojas was discovered in rural North
San Diego County, on the Pala Indian Reservation alongside Pala Temecula Road in Pala, CA.
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, Homicide Detail is seeking the public’s assistance for any information relating to the murder of Mr. Rojas.

Julio Cesar Mendez

On July 29, 2011, at approximately 11:24 p.m., officers responded to a fight at an apartment complex located at 47th and Castana Streets. Police officers arrived and discovered a Hispanic male suffering from a stab wound. The victim was transported to a local trauma hospital for emergency treatment, but died due to his injuries.
One of the suspects in the murder has been identified as 21 year-old Julio Mendez. Mendez fled the scene on foot, shortly after the stabbing occurred. It is unknown where Mendez is at this time. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
Mendez is as a Hispanic, 5’8, 180 lbs. He has the numbers ‘32’ and a spider tattooed on the left side of his neck and blue lips tattooed on his left cheek. His left fingers are also tattooed. |

Reginald Harris Attempted Murder |

On Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at about 10:45 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire at the Willie Henderson Sports Complex, 1035 South 45th Street. They arrived to find 54-year-old Reginald Harris suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Harris is currently hospitalized in critical condition, and it is not known if he will survive his injuries.
Witnesses described seeing two black males shoot Mr. Harris, followed by people (possible suspects) running through the park, one east bound towards the I-805 freeway, and two on 45th Street towards Newton Avenue. |

Nasheed Aluqdah Murder |

On Saturday, April 30, at 1:40 a.m., a San Diego Police Officer on uniformed patrol heard gunshots in the area of 47th Street and Nogal Street. He drove towards the gunshots and found 34-year-old Nasheed Aluqdah lying next to his vehicle in the 4600 block of Nogal Street. Paramedics tried to save Aluqdah’s life, but he died at the scene.
Witnesses described seeing a dark-colored four-door sedan (with rear tinted windows) just after the shooting. The vehicle was gone by the time the officer arrived one minute later. |

On April 19, 2011, at 7:26 a.m., Joe Abou was shot and killed in the parking lot of his business, Joe’s Auto Repair, at 1930 Rosecrans Street in San Diego.

On April 17, 2011, at 5:09 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 4700 block of Thorn Street on reports of a shooting. On arrival, officers found 28 year-old Cordell King lying in the street. King had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed King was standing on the north sidewalk of 4700 Thorn Street using a cell phone when he was shot. It has not been determined what precipitated the shooting. At this time, there is no description of the suspect(s), and the motive for the crime is not known. |

Dereck Peppers Murder |

On Monday, April 11, 2011, at 9:12 p.m., officers responded to a report of a drive by shooting in the 3700 block of Ocean View Boulevard in Mountain View. They arrived to find 40-year-old Dereck Peppers suffering from a gunshot wound. Dereck died from his injury.
Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as an older model, gold, two-door sedan (similar to a Chevy Impala), occupied by three black males. |

Eric Rios Murder |

Detectives said that on March 27, 2010, at about 3:11 a.m., deputies responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon at a house, located at 458 S. Rancho Santa Fe Av, in San Marcos. Deputies arrived and found the victim, later identified as 17-year-old, Eric Rios, lying in the driveway suffering from several stab wounds. Eric died on scene from his injuries.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that Eric had been attending a party at the residence with about 80 other people before he was stabbed. Someone who was also at the party may have information that can help identify the person or persons responsible for the murder of Eric Rios.

Timothy Bowden Murder |

On January 25, 2011, at 10:49 p.m., officers responded to a report of gunshots heard in the area of 4700 Logan Avenue. Subsequent callers reported a male had been shot at that location. Officers and paramedics arrived and found the victim on the ground, along the north sidewalk of the street, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Paramedics transported the victim, who was later identified as 26-year-old Timothy Bowden, to a trauma center where he later died.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that Timothy was walking back to a friend’s apartment, after going to a grocery store, when he was shot. The motive for the shooting is not known, nor is there any suspect information to share at this time. |

On January 9, 2011, at 8:42 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting at 30th Street and ‘C’ Street. They arrived to find 49-year-old Darryl Hunter on the north side of 2900 ‘C’ Street and 30-year-old Keith Butler inside an apartment complex in the 3000 block of ‘C’ Street. Both Hunter and Butler had been shot and later died from their wounds.
Hunter and Butler are father and son who had been visiting a residence on C Street. The son left the apartment to walk his father to a bus stop at 30th and C Streets. Approximately 20 minutes later both men were shot. |

Edgar Luna Murder |

On Friday, December 3, 2010 at 8:17 pm, Edgar Luna was shot on the 200 block of Lustrosos in Oceanside. He died in the hospital on
December 8th.
The Oceanside Police Department and Crime Stoppers are seeking information about this case. There is a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.

On August 20, 2010, at 6:45 a.m., 27-year-old Alberto Giovanni Flores’s body was discovered on the grounds of the La Vista Memorial Park, known as Lincoln Acres, located at 3191 Orange Street in the unincorporated area of National City, CA.
The preliminary investigation revealed on August 19th, 2010, at about 7:00 p.m., Flores left a friend’s house near the Plaza Bonita Shopping Mall and was walking back to his residence in Chula Vista.

On July 25, 2010, at 9:30 p.m., 19-year-old Dillon Patterson was found stabbed to death near Wideman Park, 6700 Imperial Avenue in San Diego. Detectives believe Patterson was attacked inside the restroom at the park.
The San Diego Police Department is looking for information on the suspect responsible for this homicide. Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person responsible. |

On July 19, 2010, at 9:30 pm, Courtney Graham was shot and killed on the foot path behind the John Adams Manor Apartment complex. The path leads to 1900 Champion Street.
Two black males were seen getting into a dark color 4 door sedan which drove away north on Champion Street toward Grape Street immediately following the shooting. |

On Friday, June 25, 2010, at about 21:39 hours, an Escondido Police Officer in the area of 700 North Broadway heard several gunshots. Officers quickly discovered that Sylvia Gonzales, 29, of Escondido had been shot in the abdomen.
Witnesses at the scene told officers that a white four door sedan pulled up to the group standing near the Hacienda Motel, 735 North Broadway, and fired several rounds in their direction. The suspect was described as either a Hispanic or Black male. Sylvia Gonzales died on July 8. |

On March 30, 2010, at 7:00 P.M., Ted Jarvis was shot and killed in the 3600 block of 44th Street in San Diego. A second person was also shot during the incident and survived. A Hispanic male was seen shooting from a white sedan. The vehicle fled Northbound immediately following the shooting. The shooting is believed to be gang related.
The San Diego Police Department is looking for information on the suspect responsible for this homicide. Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person responsible.

On October 4, 2009 at 12:53 a.m., the Chula Vista Police Department received several calls of a shooting near 881 Showroom Place in Chula Vista. Officers arrived and found one victim with a gunshot wound to the chest and a second victim with a head injury from an unknown blunt object. Teddy Savangsengouthay died at the scene, the second victim was transported to Mercy hospital and survived.
Witnesses said there were several suspects involved in the incident. The suspects were described as Asian male adults. The suspects fled in a truck and a small car, possibly an Altima or Honda Civic. The suspects are still outstanding and the investigation is ongoing |

On September 6, 2009, at 8:24 p.m., a citizen reported hearing a gunshot in the area of Jacaranda and Pershing Drives. Subsequent callers reported a male shot in the 2600 block of Jacaranda Drive. Officers and paramedics found Brandon Robinson on the ground next to his motorcycle, suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported the victim to a trauma center, where he died at 12:41 a.m.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that the Brandon was astride his motorcycle, which was parked on the west curb of Jacaranda Drive, when an unknown person shot him.

On Sunday, August 23, 2009, at approximately 01:51 a.m., the Sheriff’s Department received a report of gunshots and people screaming in the area of 1145 Helix Street in Spring Valley.
Deputies found Andgrick Miller, (Age 24) who had been shot, he later died from his injuries. Prior to the shooting, the victim was seen talking with a black male adult who was approximately 5’10” tall and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. A vehicle was seen leaving the area after the shooting. The vehicle was described as being a maroon or red late 1970’s to mid 1980’s two-door Chevy Monte Carlo style vehicle with 20” rims. |

A reward of up to $10,000 is available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Federico Ramos in the murder of Daniel Alexander. Ramos is 31 years old 5'4, 150 pounds.
Daniel was murdered on July 4th, 2009. According to witnesses, Daniel Alexander was at the 500 block of S. Vine Street and was confronted by several Hispanic males who were at a party next door. Daniel was shot and killed and Ramos is wanted in connection to the murder.
A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information leading to an arrest and up to $9,000 for information leading to arrest and conviction of Federico Ramos.

On June 15, 2009, Tammy Jo Charland’s body was discovered in the north alley of 3000 Main Street in San Diego. Her body was discovered wrapped in the above bedding.

Stephen Cormier Murder |

On May 30, 2009, at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers responded to the 4300 block of 40th Street on reports of gunshots heard and a person down. They arrived to find Stephen Cormier, 18, suffering from gunshot wounds; Cormier was pronounced dead at the scene.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that Cormier was inside a residence in the 4300 block of 39th Street when a Latino male came to the door. Cormier and the masked male walked south in the east alley of 39th Street. When they arrived in the cul-de-sac at the south end of 40th Street, Cormier and the suspect began to fight. The suspect pulled out a handgun and shot Cormier several times. The suspect ran to a white Ford Explorer which was parked on the east curb of 40th Street, facing north. The Explorer was driven by a Latino male, mid-20s, short hair, wearing a dark blue San Diego Chargers jersey. The vehicle was last seen eastbound on Meade Avenue.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 18-20, and bald. The night of the murder, he was wearing a hooded sweatshirt. |

On May 7, 2009, officers found the deceased bodies of Carol and Barry Sandberg inside their home in the community of Bay Park, San Diego, CA. Carol and Barry were both victims of homicide. During the murder, Barry's Harley Davidson was taken from the home and has not been found.
A reward of up to $51,000 is available for information leading to an arrest in this case. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward and the Governor's office is offering up to a $50,000 reward.

On January 2, 2009, 90-year-old Ventura Madrigal was struck and killed at the intersection of 6th and Highland Avenue in National City. At the time of the accident, Madrigal was attempting to cross the street in the crosswalk at the intersection.
Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as being similar to a green mid-90's Ford Explorer. The vehicle may have front end damage. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, late 20's to early 30's, with a mustache and a dark colored baseball cap.

San Diego Police are looking for leads in the shooting death of Edward Johnston on December 9, 2008 in the Jamacha/Lomita area.
At 7:35 pm, officers were dispacted to the 900 block of Cardiff to a report of gunshots. They found two victims in the parking lot of a strip mall who had been shot. Edward Johnston, age 18, was killed, the other victim a 17-year-old-male survived.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 18-20, and bald. The night of the murder, he was wearing a hooded sweatshirt. |

On the morning of July 10, 2008, Robert Juarez was leaving his Barrio Logan home when an armed suspect approached on foot and shot Robert as he started his vehicle. The suspect ran to a waiting vehicle, which picked up the shooter and fled the scene. The shooter and getaway driver are believed to be Latino males. The suspects fled in a newer, cream-colored, four-door Cadillac DTS and was last seen eastbound on Logan Avenue. At the time of the shooting, the getaway driver was wearing a blue construction hard hat. |

| Darnell Smith Murder |

On June 15, 2008 at approximately 12:20 a.m., 20-year-old Darnell Smith parked his car in the 700 block of Pyramid Street. Smith was with several relatives and was walking to his Aunt’s house from his car.
An unknown suspect stepped out of a vehicle, walked up behind Smith and his relatives, and fired multiple rounds at the group; Smith was hit and died at the scene. Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a newer black Ford Escape or a similar vehicle with tinted windows.
In addition to the $1,000 Crime Stopper Reward, Cox Communications is also offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest. |

On the evening of March 16, 2008 Brandon and Donnell were on their way home from a bowling alley in Chula Vista. As they drove on Highway 54 a car pulled alongside their vehicle and fired multiple shots. Brandon and Donnell were killed. |

Description: White male, about 5’7” tall, approximately 180 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes.
On the evening of November 23, 2007, Francisco Miranda was shot in the 3000 block of Main Street in Chula Vista in the parking lot of On the Border. He later died of a gunshot wound to the head.
Detectives believe this case is related to two other shootings the same night. Witnesses described the suspect as a black man, in his late 20s to early 30s, with a slim build. He was wearing a black hooded shirt, blue jeans and a ball cap turned backward.

On November 23, 2007, Jose Rodriguez was out with friends celebrating his 18th birthday. While driving a friend home, Jose was shot and killed in front of an apartment complex in the 400 block of Woodlawn Avenue in Chula Vista.
Witnesses described the shooter as a black man, in his late 20s to early 30s, with a slim build. Three separate shootings took place that night San Diego and Chula Vista; they are all believed to be related.

On October 28, 2007 at about 1:20 a.m., 17-year-old Guy Christopher Lofton III was found lying on the sidewalk at 2300 Commercial Street in San Diego. Guy suffered a gunshot wound and died from his injuries. His murder remains unsolved.
The San Diego Police Department is looking for information on the suspect responsible for this homicide. Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person responsible for this crime.

On July 26, 2007 at about 10:30 pm Kimo Muronaga was shot and killed while walking from his home to his job at a print shop in the Mountainview neighborhood of San Diego.
Kimo noticed a suspicious looking vehicle pulling over and someone get out of the car. Fearing for his safety, he ran--Kimo was shot as he fled on Imperial and 36th Street.

Damon Green Murder |

On Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at about 2:30 am, Damon Green was shot and killed while at Donuts Plus at 4090 El Cajon Blvd. Prior to the shooting, Green and the two suspects exchanged words at the Rolberto's Taco Shop next door. Both suspects were last seen leaving the area going northbound on 41st Street.
Suspect #1 is described as a Hispanic/ Puerto Rican male with a round chubby face, early 20’s, approximately 5’8, 220 lbs, with facial hair, which has been described as a thin goatee and/or a chin strap style. He was last seen wearing a long sleeved light colored shirt/jacket, shorts and a dark colored baseball hat turned sideways.
Suspect #2 is described as a Hispanic male, early 20’s, approximately 5’8, 200 lbs with a shaved head. He was last seen wearing an oversized, short sleeved, horizontally striped shirt and dark pants/jeans.

On February 14, 2007, Jodine Elizabeth Serrin, a 39-year-old, mentally challenged woman, was found murdered in her Carlsbad condominium located in the 1900 Block of Swallow Lane.
A reward of up to $2,000 is available for information leading to an arrest in this case. $1,000 is from Jodine's family and $1,000 from Crime Stoppers. The Governor's office is offering a $50,000 reward.

On January 19, 2007, at about 6:30 p.m., 16-year-old Romel Velarde was shot and killed in front of his house. Velarde was standing in his driveway located in the 2300 block of East Division Street in National City. Two unidentified males were seen running from the area.
A brown van or sports utility vehicle was seen driving away from the area immediately after the murder.
